Friends of the Barn Koha Quilt Group
The Friends of the Barn group makes Koha quilts for charititable organisations and those in need.
Fabrics are donated by generous quilters, thereby helping to reduce an out of control stash!
Women’s Refuge, Foster NZ, Hospice and Birthright are just some of the recipients of the quilts made by this group.
Friends of the Barn meet on the 1st Wed of the month, new members are always welcome.
Tuesday Group
Meets every Tuesday to sew and socialise, new members welcome.
Wednesday Group
Meets every 2nd Wed of the month to sew and socialise, new members welcome.
Thursday Crafting Group
Meets every Thursday to craft or work in your own project and socialise, new members welcome.
Friday Knitters
Meets weekly- new members welcome.

10am - 4pm, Class Fee $30.00, plus pattern and materials
School Holidays - Learn to Sew - Quick as bag
July 22nd and September 30th / 10am - 4pm
Learn how to use a pattern, cut out, and sew a little reversible bag.
Workshop 10:00am to 4:00pm. Fee $30.00 Including pattern, but not materials.
Participants will need their own sewing machine.
Sewing - Japanese Rice Bag
Workshop 2026/ October 18th
A traditional drawstring pouch
10am - 4pm. Class Fee: $30 plus materials
Sewing - Christmas Tree Skirt
Workshop 2026/ November 21th and 22th / 10am - 4pm
Make a Christmas Tree Skirt.
Workshop 10:00am-4:00pm. $60 plus pattern and materials.
Participants will need their own sewing machine.
