These are held once a month every 3rd Wed and every 3rd Sat of the month.
Bring your own project or let us help choose one, feel free to come in to the store and chose your materials and any equipment you may need before the class.
We get you started on your project and give ongoing help throughout to completion.

Friends of the Barn Koha Quilt Group
The Friends of the Barn group makes Koha quilts for charititable organisations and those in need.
Fabrics are donated by generous quilters, thereby helping to reduce an out of control stash!
Women’s Refuge, Foster NZ, Hospice and Birthright are just some of the recipients of the quilts made by this group.
Friends of the Barn meet on the 1st Wed of the month, new members are always welcome.

This is a good beginners class using the quilt as you go technique.

Hexagon Mug Rug
Make a fun little "mug rug" in your choice of colours and fabric so it will match your bedroom or the decor of the person you'll be giving it to.
Class Fee $15 plus materials
Expressions of interest taken and then a date will be set. Workshops will run for 5 weeks on Mondays 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
Learn how to use a pattern, cut out, and sew a little girls dress.
Workshop Fee $120 (for 5 weeks). Including pattern, but not materials.
Participants will need their own sewing machine.

Gail Stewart is the tutor and she will show you how, and many useful techniques for the ruler.
